Celebrating Black Women and Black History Month!

Below is a video link I wanted to share that I recently find in my archives.

Last year, a Los Angeles filmmaker was commissioned to do a series of Black History Month vignettes for Walmart and Black Planet. During his research he found my organization, Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA) online (www.bwopa.org) and contacted me to help him produce.

It’s amazing when I see the video today, because to me its timeless and shares my passion for empowering African American women, in particular, and women of color, in general. This video, which I had the opportunity to narrate, speaks to my life’s work which I plan to build upon with the help of our SEC program and my subsequent Master’s degree.
